Cityview, a vertically integrated real estate investment management firm focused on multifamily and mixed-use real estate in the Western U.S., was recognized as the no. 1 multifamily developer on this year’s Los Angeles Business Journal commercial real estate developer’s list, ranking no. 4 across all property types. Honorees were selected based on square footage developed in Los Angeles County since 2011. Cityview has completed 76 projects totaling 6.65 million square feet over the past 10 years in Los Angeles County and currently has 650,000 square feet of development under construction.
“Cityview has remained extremely resilient throughout the pandemic, and our development pipeline is only continuing to grow,” said Sean Burton, CEO of Cityview. “We are honored to be recognized among the top developers in Los Angeles and look forward to continuing our strategy of developing well-located multifamily and mixed-use projects throughout the city.”
Cityview has a host of notable projects currently in progress in the Los Angeles area, including Adams & Grand – a $125 million mixed-use project located in an opportunity zone near the University of Southern California (USC) for which Cityview recently secured funding. Funded with capital from opportunity zone investors, the seven-story, 296-unit project will feature 5,000 square feet of retail space, extensive amenities and two rooftop sky decks offering sweeping views of Downtown Los Angeles. Cityview also recently broke ground on 5935 Pico, a 123-unit mixed-use community adjacent to the Carthay Square neighborhood of Mid-City Los Angeles. In 2020, Cityview completed Haven – a $75 million mixed-use community located in the heart of Culver City that features an Airstream trailer on the rooftop deck serving as a coworking and community space.
Other recent recognitions for Cityview include CEO Sean Burton’s inclusion on Commercial Observer’s Power 25 list, honoring the top 25 most powerful people in Los Angeles commercial real estate. Burton was also included in Los Angeles Business Journal’s most recent LA 500 list, which recognizes the most influential leaders and executives in Los Angeles.
