Cityview today announced that Denise Katz has joined the team as director of asset management. Katz will leverage her more than 12 years of experience in asset management, operations, ground-up development and value-add to maximize the operational and financial performance of Cityview’s assets while increasing the value of the company’s portfolio.
In her new role, Katz will oversee a portfolio of core, lease-up and value-add multifamily and mixed-use assets, driving the successful execution of each asset’s business plan. She will develop strategies to advance efficiencies across the portfolio and drive value for tenants and investors. Katz will also help foster collaboration and bridge relationships between Cityview’s operations, acquisitions, construction, property management and finance teams while keeping in close communication with third-party management firms, vendors and brokers.
“As we continue to grow and expand our footprint throughout the Western U.S., we sought an experienced multifamily asset management executive to oversee and drive value to our existing portfolio,” said Sean Burton, CEO of Cityview. “Katz’s extensive asset management experience coupled with her well-rounded product and market knowledge make her an ideal fit to support Cityview’s strategic growth.”
Prior to joining Cityview, Katz served as regional vice president at CIM Group, where she was responsible for maximizing the operational and financial performance of a $2.4 billion portfolio in the Western U.S. and Latin American markets. During her time at CIM, she managed end-to-end transactions of development projects, acquisitions and dispositions of multifamily, mixed-use, condominium, office, retail and parking projects.
“Cityview has a strong commitment to quality, talented team and strategic approach to projects that differentiate it from others in this space,” said Katz. “I look forward to helping Cityview achieve its asset performance goals while supporting collaboration across the company to further Cityview’s vision and growth.”
Katz holds bachelor’s degrees in international studies and psychology from Wilkes University.
